Warm Bodies is weird.

Isn't a zombie supposed to be simply a reanimated body? Presumably only parts of the brain still functions(the parts that control the peripheral nervous system?) and the rest are supposed to be dead. In this case, how does a zombie feel any emotions? Furthermore, if it can feel and bleed, wouldn't it simply be a human? Not only are the zombies essentially nonzombies, the plot is a generic Romeo and Juliet carbon copy. This, sadly, reminds me of Twilight in terms of story. Personally I find this novel a bit strange and I fail to see how it stands up against scrutiny...
