Fair Game
I thought Fair Game was describing how some really religious people think that they are "the chosen one" that is supposed to carry out god's will. These people always think that they are special, just like the main character. He likes to surround himself with like-minded people because they understand him and don't think he's crazy like how nonreligious people think of how really religious people are. Ultimately, it is all part of their imaginations and they really aren't the chosen one. I don't understand the ending with the frying pan but I think that it means that there is no heaven to go to when you die because he thought the people that captured him wanted him for his knowledge but he was just dumped out somewhere.
