Danger Word
I found
the "zombies" in Danger Word to be very strange because my perception of what is a
zombie does not match with the characteristics of the monsters in the story. The monsters in the story are almost 'normal' enough to pass for a living, non-crazed person which is
something that my definition of a zombie lacks.
I feel that you should be able to tell from a distance if the person is
a zombie instead of finding out at the last minute. I feel that this difference gives the
monsters in Danger Word a more dangerous and personal connection. If the characters cannot tell the difference,
then it feels like the attacks are more human-on-human which is something that
is not new to society. I feel like the
monsters in Danger Word are normal humans meant to show how everyone can be
monsters.
