In lecture we learned that the definition of zombification is the loss of human will to another human. In the movie, 28 days later, there was a discussion about before and after the infection. The thing that remained the same was that people kill people, and it seemed that one person had the right to kill another person due to being more human.  The virus in the movie was the Rage virus, and the Rage virus represents the increasing incidences of rage occurring today. The exposure of vast amounts of violence through media has harmful effects. Also, as I was watching the film in class I noticed that there was a recurring theme concerning the role of Christianity and spirituality in our everyday lives. The crosses, religious text, and the priest exemplify the message. Consumerism and accumulating by dispossession are salient in western society and that influence will be our own undoing.
